Wanna CEEMI?

The “Wanna CEEMI?” campaign consists of a series of flashmob-inspired events that will take place throughout this spring/summer in and around the Pittsburgh area. Thanks to CEEMI’s collaborative music-making technology, anyone that shows up or passes by will be able to take part in this fun, spontaneous music-making experience. No prior musical training is required, only a smartphone or any other WiFi compatible device. The exact time and place of each “Wanna CEEMI?” event will be revealed via the Twitter account @wannaCEEMI.

Wanna join the CEEMI Band? 

The CEEMI Band will create music together in a series of free weekly collaborative creative music workshops during April and May 2016, culminating with a live performance in one of the “Wanna CEEMI?” events. Led by Gil Teixeira, CEEMI’s creator and sound programmer, the CEEMI Band is open to everyone and offered in collaboration with Hope Academy.

Before you fill out the CEEMI Band Registration Form below, please go through these important details:

1. Who? ANYONE CAN PLAY CEEMI! No prior musical training is required.
2. Where? The CEEMI Band will meet at Hope Academy, housed at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church: 116 S. Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
3. When?
   • Rehearsals – Every Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. between April 7th and May 19th
   • Final Performance – Date, place and time to be confirmed
   • To take part in the Final Performance you must attend at least 5 of the 7 rehearsals
4. How much? Free!
5. You must bring along your own smartphone/tablet
6. There are limited spaces available. Registrants will be selected according to their age (teens and adults first) and their registration submission date.
